"I've never been one for following trends and I just want my music to come from the heart.

#BoiChase is a thought-provoking artist who integrates his powerful lyrics with records to make uninhibited, authentic music. He's passionate about connecting with people on a personal level and believes that his job is to tell stories rather than recite them. He shifted from writing poetry to making music in order to escape predictability.

Boi Chase: Hi guys. I go by the name Boi Chase, but my real name is Precious Chasenoa Igoni. Yeah, my name's Precious, but I go by the name. Boi Chase, like I, said before, and it's cause I'm an artist. I, I'm a musician. So that is it. 

Iberedem Usoro " Red ": So how has your journey been so far? 
 

Boi Chase: My journey so far has just been, well, it's just smooth and I'm grateful because, I mean, I'm getting more love from people than hate, so it's just, I'm just thankful. That's good. 

Iberedem Usoro " Red ": We see your social media. Yeah. saw you first on TikTok, and Instagram. What's your take on digital media space, social media, and how it's impacted you. ?

Boi Chase: Well, basically for a fact, I feel like people shouldn't joke with social media at this point because they don't know how effective it is.
Especially people who aren't on social media. They feel like people, most of these people on social media are playing and they're not doing anything worthwhile but for a fact. Social media is key. It's really powerful. I feel more people should put more of their work out on social media.

Iberedem Usoro " Red ": So, what would you have been doing if you were not doing this? 

Boi Chase: I'd be doing animation. I love 2D. I love drawings. I love 2D animations. Back in school, when I was in JSS 3 ( High School ), I worked on animations. I even had the whole season of my cartoons, so that's just in my archive. Which will possibly come out soon.

Iberedem Usoro " Red ": So you were an artist before you were an artiste. . . How has the media exposure been? Like, how is the experience? , 

Boi Chase: It's a total game-changer for someone who didn't expect much. Like, I was just doing music cause of the fun of it, I did not imagine being able to make money from it.

That was not my mind. I was just having fun. I just say I'm just having fun on TikTok cause it's not planned. It's just been a total game-changer in my life ever since. I mean, getting to go somewhere and then " are you Chase? &quot, so it's crazy. A new feeling. 

Iberedem Usoro " Red ": Three questions quick.

What challenges do you face? What is your favourite moment, what's your relationship status and how does it affect your 

Boi Chase: craft? Okay. My first thought, my, the challenges I face are just basically about posting my content. I'm not really, I don't know people, like, I don't need to stress myself in terms of thinking about it too much.

They feel like I can just post and people like it, but I still have that fear and that fear is still there, but I'm growing every day. Perhaps it will leave me soon. Well, uh, yeah, I'm single and, I think it's even made me more focused, and put in more work. I consider getting into a relationship, but I'm just putting in the work, you know.

Iberedem Usoro " Red ": All right, so the final question is, what's your favourite colour, place and shape? 

Boi Chase: My favourite colour is black. I'm putting it on pink, but it's still black. My Pants are black. Oh, my Jeans. My favourite place. I know, I like food Anywhere with food is my favourite place, as long as it's food.

That's all that matters. shape. I've never thought about this question before. Like I also want shape. I'd say star. Yeah. Cause I'm A Star,

so yeah, so Star.
